In your future role as Research Engineer you will
• Collaborate with production, application and customer-facing teams
• Support scale-up, validation and implementation of new products and processes
• Evaluate and interpret experimental results and present conclusions to various stakeholders
• Identify and drive new product and process optimizations
• Lead or contribute to research and development projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality technical results

We believe you bring
• Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical engineering with 3 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Swedish is a plus)
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process calculations related to upscaling
• Experience from laboratory work and the ability to plan experiments and evaluate trial results
• Solid competence in chemistry and materials science, including synthesis, product characterization, application and formulation

Great if you have
• Experience working cross-functionally in project teams
• Knowledge of process control systems and data-driven process improvement
• Experience from R&D work connected to industrial production environments

Our PQC department is supporting our plants at Site Stockvik with expertise in process engineering, process safety, laboratory engineering and quality management. Key Responsibilities as Senior Process Engineer
Act as process expert on site
Act as lead process engineer, site representative or technical licensor in projects
Lead and continuously improves projects and processes of relevance for PQC
Based on customer demands defines scope of projects and manages uncertainties within the own discipline.
Gives support to the plant with improvement projects with regards to capacity, efficiency, VCM and safety(HSE)
Responsible for assurance in performing risk analyses in projects and small modifications (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA, SIL, MOC)
Participate/lead as Process Engineer at commissioning and start-up of projects
Perform process design in projects including:

- Basis of design, flow sheeting, process flow diagram, material and heat balance
- Process calculations, sizing of equipment, piping and instrumentation
- Create and establish P&ID; (Piping & Instrument Diagram)
- Preparation of functional descriptions of instrumentation and process control
Carry out training of the customer's operations and maintenance staf
Apply to all local HSE&S rules on site and Nouryon guidelines


Key Responsibilities as Team Leader
Coordination and prioritization of daily activities within the team.
Ability to act as an interface between process engineers and the rest of the functions within the PQC department including reporting to PQC Manger.
Result oriented and can deliver according to set goals within the PQC Department.
Drive and support team to strive for operational excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of process design and process safety.
Facilitator or owner of ALPS processes within the team.
Defines, leads and coordinates continuous improvement and investment projects.
Perform delegated tasks required in the occupational safety and health act.
Leading, managing and developing the team members in order to build a strong, motivated, passionate, diverse staff.
Executes talent reviews, succession planning, development dialogs, training & development plans (CPM process).


Requirements
M Sc Chemical Engineering or similar
Extensive relevant experience or at least 5 years of experience in process engineering.
Experience with chemical plant design, start up and commissioning
Excellent knowledge in process engineering and process design tools
Knowledge in risk assessment
Fluent in English and Swedish (written and spoken)

Field of work
The position is in an R&D department working with process development and product application with the main products being sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide and hydrogen peroxide. Process development often requires work in pilot scale. The application work ranges from pulp bleaching to other applications where oxidative chemicals are used; water and flue gas treatment.

Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and driven person, who loves to find improvements in the processes you work in. You are a good communicator with a can-do attitude and embraces our helpful atmosphere. Since the position also requires you to deliver results, you need to be result oriented and a good communicator.
Formal qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience
or
Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical engineering

Other Qualification

Main responsibilities

Qualifications

PhD in Chemistry (or equivalent) with high competence in chromatography.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience
Project management experience
Have an established network within the industry and academia
Documented communication skills in writing reports and presenting results
Fluent in English
Knowledge in inorganic chemistry (prefferably silica) is an advantage

Main responsibilities

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree preferred. Degrees related to technical, supply chain, engineering or related fields are most appropriate
Proven continuous improvement, Lean experience and/or certified L6S Continuous Improvement Master. Or equivalent experience to a L6S Master Black Belt
Extensive knowledge and expert use in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Proven leadership skills and the capability to work effectively in international teams
Skilled and experienced in managing change programs
Extensive experience in training and coaching; able to impart knowledge to others
Experienced project manager
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Som utvecklingsingenjör i vår kromatografigrupp kommer du att arbeta med rutinanalyser samt analyser för FoU och marknad, främst med inriktning mot vätskekromatografi. Du kommer att få ett nätverk inom organisationen och ha möjlighet att arbeta med intressant kemi i en trevlig grupp. Dina arbetsuppgifter kommer bl.a. innefatta följande:
Utföra analyser samt rapportera analysresultat av hög kvalité
Säkerställa att rätt laboratorieutrustning används, underhålls och kalibreras på ett korrekt sätt.
Felsökning vid instrumentproblem
Följa kvalitetskraven från Swedac (ISO 17025) och GMP-standarder / riktlinjer
Kundkontakter med interna kunder


Kvalifikationer
MSc i kemi/kemiteknik alternativt BSc i kemi/kemiteknik med 3 till 5 års relevant erfarenhet
God förståelse i analytisk kemi, främst inom vätskekromatografi
Erfarenhet från laboratoriearbete med användning främst av HPLC
Möjlighet att hantera en komplex arbetsbelastning
Resultatorienterad med god förmåga att samarbeta
Flytande i svenska språket och god förståelse på engelska

We are pleased to be able to offer the exciting vacancy of Supply Chain Manager DSR for Industrial, Construction & Agricultural Specialities, within the Performance Formulations division, Sweden. This newly-created role will have the crucial responsibility of leading the the weekly demand and supply review process (DSR) within the Business Planning team.
The DSR process is focused on the short term (0-3 month) and as such this central role, right at the heart of Integrated Business Planning will be making decisions that have a direct impact on the successful delivery of the business plan, ensuring that we meet our objectives.
In order to effectively drive the process, you will need to manage deviations to the plan, ensure transparent inputs and outputs and coordinate actions and clearly communication throughout, to all stakeholders.
You will create, build consenus around and communicate a detailed short term demand plan based on our constrained forecast but supplemented with your additional expertise to incorporate short-term opportunities and other incremental volumes based on statistical analysis. To embed the detail of the plan within the supply plan you will also break down monthly ongoing demand into more granular weekly/daily schedules.
Main responsibilities
Demand Actual/Forecast:
o Analyze and manage the forecast and compare with historical sales history 0-3 months.
o Facilitate disaggregation of rough-cut plan to daily and weekly execution with supply planners and commercial team.
o Align with Demand Manager on the 3 months execution plan with proposed gap closing measures. To include all constrained global demand at material/Ship To Customers, aggregated as necessary to ensure assumptions are being achieved weekly.
o Manage all exceptions to the demand forecast and clarify actions & gap closing measures for any deviations the agreed plan.
o Secondary work product is also a detailed demand history (actual) that can be aligned to forecast for comparison and context.
o Weekly reporting on DSR scorecard.
Stakeholder Management:
o Coordinate the execution of the demand plan with responsible sales teams and customer services teams, effectively managing any exceptions with supply capability.
o Work with Supply Planning teams, Product Directors, Business Line VP’s and Regional Sales Managers on deviations to plan and gap closing measures.
Forecast Segmentation and Statistical Forecast Models:
o Support the demand planning manager to realize forecast segmentation to identify materials applicable to collaborative forecast and products that require market information. Re-evaluation at least annually to ensure correct forecast segment. Maintenance in both SAP and Arkieva (S&OP; software).
SAP master data:
o Maintenance of Arkieva master data (re-alignments) relating to the forecast, executing & material routing and extension process.
Power User Arkieva:
o Act as a project leader or participant in demand management projects. Focus in these projects is on SAP and Arkieva changes. Scope includes the management of external expertise.
o Create material for training of users of Arkieva. Carry out training of relevant personnel to support continuous improvement (Planners, Sales Managers, Customer Service etc.).
Business Planning
o Provide input to the Supply Management Review (SMR) and Demand Management Review (DMR) with historical performance and deviations to consider in long term plan. This will support improving forecast bias and planning factors.
o Lead the Demand Supply Review (DSR) to drive tactical implementation of the approved plans. Improve short-term demand plan and short-term communication.
Improvement Suggestions:
o Propose tools and structures for the improvement of short-term demand plan, DSR process and communication with IBP, and, after consultation the BP Manager, implements these structures.
o Manage specific Supply Chain projects to meet budget requirements, project timelines, goals, business objectives etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
At least 5-10 years of relevant working experience in supply chain management (or equivalent).
APICS CPIM is desirable.
At least 5 years of documented experience in demand and supply planning.
Extensive experience with IBP/S&OP;.
Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) and Arkieva (or equivalent advanced planning software). Experience with Business Warehouse (or equivalent data warehouse) is advantageous.

Additional responsibilities are to determine the stock replenishment strategy and manage the inventory targets for the product line by ensuring effective translation of demand inputs (forecast and sales orders) into an achievable supply plan within EMEA.
Main responsibilities
• Supply Planning Process Deployment:
o Responsible for setting goals.
o Responsible for developing training and development plans for supply planners and site schedulers.
• Supply Plan:
o Develop mid and short-term supply plan to EMEA sites using Rough Cut Capacity Planning to validate capabilities.
o Initiate and execute short- and medium-term supply optimization from given customer demand, plant cost and capacity structure, and communicate to the organization.
o Develop and provide plants with weekly/monthly supply plans.
o Evaluate business opportunities with the help of an optimization tool (Arkieva and DSR tool).

o Monitoring of process order On Time In Full (OTIF) and Customer Request In Time (CRIT) metrics will be required to assess quality of plan.
• Stakeholder Management:
o Coordinate the execution of the supply plan with the responsible ISC organization, effectively managing any exceptions with demand forecasts.
o Work collaboratively with the ISC Organization to ensure key assumptions on anticipated production capabilities are reflected within the plans.
o Actively communicate situation on blocked stock to the ISC organization and drive resolution.
o Work collaboratively with Demand Management to ensure effective demand and supply balancing within the short- and medium-term horizon (IBP and DSR).
• Inventory Segmentation and Network Optimization Models:
o Determine the most appropriate inventory replenishment models that balance service, cost, and inventory based on the objectives of the business using Arkieva Inventory Module.
o Use Arkieva supply module for network optimization within the EMEA region to determine the most efficient supply plan to fulfill the customer requirements. Provide input to the global BP function for global network optimization.
• SAP master data:
o Maintenance of Arkieva master data (plant assignments) relevant for the supply and inventory planning process.

We expect you to have a M Sc Chemical Engineering or similar, and long experience with chemical plant design, start up and commissioning or process engineering in R&D. We are now looking for a Process Development Engineer for a fixed term position in our Silica RnD team in Bohus. This high performing team works with product, process and application development for the growing Kromasil® and Levasil businesses.


As Process Development Engineer you will focus on the development of Kromasil® products which are produced on site in Bohus. In this role you will participate in process and product development from laboratory to plant scale and support the plant with continuous improvement and trouble-shooting. The team works agile and in close cooperation with colleagues from different functions such as sales and marketing, process and quality control, technology and operations. All team members are committed to reach out and help a colleague when needed. This has developed a friendly and helpful atmosphere that makes the team grow, both as a group and as individuals.


Main responsibilities
Participate in product and process development projects
Run lab scale trials, summarize results in written reports
Compile and analyze process data to support trouble-shooting and continuous improvement activities



Qualifications
Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent or a Bachelor’s Degree Chemical Engineering or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience
Experience working in laboratory, with pilot plants and in production processes is beneficial 
Knowledge of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), both in theory and hands on experience is beneficial
Good understanding, writing and speaking in English language
Good understanding, writing and speaking in Swedish language is beneficial
