In your future role as Research Engineer Process Development
you will
• Develop new and existing products and manufacturing processes in collaboration with our Inorganic Specialties Marketing & Sales organization.
• Provide global support to our production sites and technology organization with troubleshooting and knowledge.
• Carry out experiments in laboratory and pilot scale. Suggest, plan and participate in full-scale trials at our production sites worldwide.
• Maintain, improve and develop new relevant R&D methods, ensure retention of knowledge through research reports and ensure other team members stay current.

We believe you bring
• Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical technology with relevant experience or minimum Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical technology with several years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and technology
• Highly skilled in evaluating results and planning experiments
• Good communication skills in writing reports and presenting results
• Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing


Great if you have
• Good competence in silica chemistry, process calculations and modelling.

Main responsibilities
As a Development Engineer you secure a safe and standardized work in line with the HSE guidance and scope for the department and its functional standards. You will also develop, prepare, execute and analyze research elements (e.g. problems, questions, ideas) in own discipline and develop new and improve existing research methodology, in line with the R&D strategy, project and R&D functional standards, in order to gain insight into new developments. Other responsibilities:
Maintains, improves and develop new relevant research methods and equipment in the field, ensures retention of knowledge through research reports
Leads assignments or participates in assignments/projects and ensures execution and delivery of technical results
Formulates and presents solution directions and issues advice at request or at own initiative
Promote and encourage an open working climate
Identifying issues and root causes and work with continuous improvements according to the procedures for the laboratory.


Field of work
The position is in an R&D department working with process development and product application with the main products being sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide and hydrogen peroxide. Process development often requires work in pilot scale as the processes arecontinuous. The application work ranges from pulp bleaching to other applications where oxidative chemicals are used; water and flue gas treatment.

Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and driven person, who loves to find improvements in the processes you work in. You are a good communicator with a can-do attitude and embraces our helpful atmosphere. Since the position also requires you to deliver results, you need to be result oriented and a good communicator.
Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical engineering
3-5 years of relevant experience
Preferred competence in process development, scale-up, inorganic chemistry and/or electrochemistry synthesis and product characterization
Experience from laborative work
Experience from pilot production
Good computer knowledge e.g. Excel and IT systems
Good communication in English, both verbally and in writing
Good understanding, writing and speaking in Swedish

We are seeking a Toxicologist for Nouryon’ s Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs EMEIA department. In this role, you will provide support, knowledge and solutions in connection with testing for regional (EMEIA) substance registrations, exposure scenario development, risk assessments and new product development in the field of human toxicology. The position requires a in depth knowledge in the regulatory field but also a high level of social skills to maintain the necessary network and contacts with a large number of internal and external collaboration-partners.
Main responsibilities
Contribute with toxicological expertise to product safety and compliance work
Commission, monitor and validate GLP compliant studies to be used for human hazard assessment
Perform human exposure and risk assessments and/or monitor human exposure and risk assessments done by 3rd party consultants
Critically analyze, contribute to and write technical reports
Compile scientifically based (cost-effective) testing strategies
Support the businesses in Nouryon for all human health aspects in the preparation of regulatory dossiers
Co-advise on the toxicological profile of a substance or product to RD&I and business



Qualifications
MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Toxicology
At least 5-10 years working experience in the chemical industry in regulatory toxicology
Fluent in written and spoken English
Proven experience in human hazard, exposure and risk assessments for regulatory purposes such as REACH
Experience in human exposure modelling
Experience in monitoring toxicity studies (including higher tier testing) and project management
Experience with IUCLID database and QSARs is a plus

We are looking for our next Global Segment Leader for Kromasil. In this strategic marketing role you will have the opportunity to develop and implement business strategy and 5-year plan for the Pharma/Kromasil market segment together with global market segment team. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our market to as input to the segment strategy and execution tactics.


Main responsibilities
Develop and execute our global market strategy for our Pharma Segment
Lead cross functional segment teams
Contribute to realization of global business strategy
Develop, negotiate and implement business deals to support the market segment strategy and drive profitable growth.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customer and end markets
Maintain and develop our product portfolio
Drive production footprint optimization for the Segment, together with Sales Managers and Technology / Manufacturing functions
Develop and execute plans to address customer/market needs with new solution-based offerings
Identify and pursue M&A opportunities for segments



Qualifications
Master / PhD degree, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or similar level through experience
In-depth knowledge of pharma and/or chromatography market.
A minimum of 10 years experience in Sales, Marketing or Product management for Specialty Chemicals or Pharma
Experience in Strategic Marketing
Strong financial and business acumen
Strategic thinking to develop go to market strategies
High degree of self-motivation with a drive to deliver on cross-functional projects and strategic targets
Demonstrated ability to lead people, develop people and get results through others
